The 2010 year promises to be a very exciting one for our students at the Art Center!  We have added a variety of equipment (shown here, New, you might need to use your back button to return). Together with these upgrades and my 31+ years of extensive experience and education both at home and abroad, the Center is prepared to offer you professional art instruction, with some of the most complete art supplies for use in the area.

Building upon our proven curriculum, we are in the planning stages of extending art instruction, for example to include the disciplines of watercolor, sculpture, ceramics and the making of fine jewelry. Our goal at the Center is to instill an appreciation for these art forms and to cultivate the skills within each individual to express themselves through art. We know that the value of learning academic art equals learning to play an instrument, it requires and develops major critical thinking skills.

When you come to the East Side Center for the Arts, you are learning concrete art skills versus simple crafts. Comparable to a person who decides to take violin lessons--they wouldn't begin learning on a kazoo! At the same time, we strive to make our classes not only enjoyable but affordable so that everyone can experience all that we have to offer, and to develop a love art.
